8 Easy DIY Ideas for New Year’s Eve Party Décor

Looking for creative and simple DIY décor ideas to celebrate your New Years Eve with style? You can absolutely create simple eye-catching displays with minimal effort. Even if you’re celebrating it with a smaller group of family/friends this year, you can still display your holiday spirit. Here’s a few ideas that are simple enough for anyone to recreate.

  1. Gold or Silver Foiled Candy in a Wine/Cocktail Glass or Clear Jar

2. Christmas Ornaments in a Clear Vase

If you have any silver, gold or white ornaments from your Christmas tree, those will be perfect to display as a centerpiece.

3. Candles Over an Upside-Down Wine Glass

Bonus – you can also add ornaments or anything else that will display nicely under the glass (the foiled candy would be a great option too).

4. Black and Gold Balloons with Ribbon Bowtie

This is an obvious one of course, but still a great addition to your overall party décor. Tying a ribbon on it also adds a nice touch and helps fancy up any solid color balloons.

5. DIY Shot Glass Vases

These shot glass vases are so cute and perfect for any party occasion. You can use a few (all clear) shot glasses if you have any, or buy new ones for as low as one dollar (at the Dollar Tree). To see the the DIY steps for the gold glittered shot glass, click here.

6. Use Fancy Ribbons to Spruce Up Other Items You Already Have

Try to keep the colors cohesive with your theme. You can buy black or gold disposable utensils from Walmart, Target, Party City, or the Dollar Store.

You could also tie a wide ribbon on a few wine bottles.

7. Wine Bottle Gift Wrap

If you happen to have any mesh ribbon, perhaps left over from Christmas wrapping, give this one a try. You can do this with an empty bottle for display, or you can wrap it on a new bottle to later share as a gift.

8. DIY Confetti (made with gift wrapping paper)

This is a smart way to use your left-over gift wrapping paper. If you have a shredder, it will be much easier and quicker to have ready. Otherwise, you can cut it yourself. Here’s a link for how to make easy homemade confetti – 5 ways.

May you all have a safe and wonderful New Year!
